March Parent Cue

This month your 1st-5th grader is learning all about the hope we find in the Resurrection of Jesus. The basic truth for the month is Jesus is my savior and wants to have a relationship with me. Ask them what they’ve learned in class, memorize the Bible verse with them, and watch the story using the Parent Cue App.

The Stand

Bible teaching by Pastor Lee Stephenson

Read Daniel 3:1-7. What is King Nebuchadnezzar commanding from of all those who work for him? Have you ever been in a situation when you were asked to do something contrary to your convictions? How did you respond?

Read Daniel 3:8-12. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not bow to the image, they were called out by their peers. Read Matthew 5:10-12 and 1 John 3:13. How do we endure the ridicule of people who don’t believe what we believe?

Read Daniel 3:13-15. Living for God often costs us something. How do you learn to live by faith despite the costs? Read Mark 10:28-30. What promise does Jesus make to those who sacrifice for him?

Read Daniel 3:16-18. What does real conviction look like? Who in your life has shown this kind of conviction? What do you admire about it? How does it challenge you? Read Matthew 5:13. What does it mean to stay “salty” as a Christian? What concern does Jesus express about the person who doesn’t always live by conviction?

Read Daniel 3:19-27. What happens? In many stories in the Bible, God shows up in a miraculous way. Have you ever had that happen? Read Psalm 46:1. What does this tell us about God? How do we trust God for the outcomes of our decision to stand in our faith? Read Romans 12:14. What does that look like in real life to stand for God?

Read Daniel 3:28-30. How does God turn the heart of the king? How do you think God uses our “living by convictions” as a witness? Matthew 5:14-16. How might God use your faith in this present time?

Read 1 Corinthians 15:58 and 16:13. What challenge are we given in these verses? Pray that God will help us to stand firm.
